Poor Mama elephant what a very difficult unbearable pain for sure twin births, I can relate myself having had twin births after being in labor for nearly 4 days and the doctors trying to stop the labor at only 6 months along. Im so happy for MaMa elephant that she had healthy twins so cute!! I lost my fraternal twins which was more painful to me than giving birth. I was blessed to have 3 sons following my fraternal twins loss at the tender age of 18 years old. These are magnificent animals and their family bond is very strong. I love elephants❤ What a wonderful story with such a happy outcome ! When the journalist mentioned that the elder calf would become a big hunk of a male, it reminded me of our 3-year stay in Kenya before its independence (my father was in the military). We were driving around what has now become the Amboseli Reserve when there was great trumpeting and bushes and young trees started to move violently in all directions. We were sitting in the car with, stupidly the engine turned off, when all of a sudden a huge and majestic male elephant appeared, obviously ready to charge.
